Today was an absolute ball!
I woke up at about 08:00 after which I read e-mails, checked all the comments of people on Facebook and then got ready to go to our second last brunch for the week. At the brunch we could all choose certain cultural activities that we wanted to do at CREA. I choose to do some yoga and it was so good! I felt so energised and awake after that.
The next activity was visiting a zoo. I am not really a fan of zoo’s since I believe wild animals need free space, but it was quite nice to see animals usually found in (South-)Africa as it reminded me of home. There is also a planetarium which we paid a visit to and I found it quite interesting. Most of my group actually fell asleep as it was so comfy and dark – I also almost fell asleep, but then he said “TIME’s UP!”.
The final official event was the visit to Boom! Chicago – a comedy show where we had some amazing food! Quiche of spinach and goats’ milk, vegetable fritatta’s along with bread, humus, basil-pesto butter and some other read stuff I can’t remember the name of (like basil-pesto and humus for bread). The comedy was quite funny, interactive with the audience and since it was mostly improv, very entertaining!
Our group was definitely not done for the night and we paid a visit to Vondelpark where we bought some wine/beer and played some games while we sat in a big circle. After about 2 hours (I think…) we went to another “coffee shop”, but this ons was a bit higher class and we could actually sit very comfortable watching all the other people enjoying their “coffee”.
The night was well ended off with a visit to a spanish bar. As soon as I remember the name, I will add it to the tag list. There we danced for long and I even had my 30 seconds of fame when the band asked me to sing on the microphone Awesome!
At 01:00 I got home and took a nice, long shower. I really enjoyed the day and it was one of the best so far! Hopefully tomorrow night’s party at Die Melkweg will be as great…
